Below is a look at the 2019 Winter Runway shows and some trends that relate to Outdoor & Snowsports. There are too many trends for one post, so I selected a few and will send more next month. Some are low hanging fruit, others are more targeted. I don't focus on specific designers and instead look for where I see trends emerging no matter how big or small the design house. I hope you enjoy and let me know any comments. I wish you happy designing!

A note about sweaters. I've been thinking that the outdoor/snowsports industry takes the lead here. With seamless engineered knits and technical yarns and constructions, it could be another catagory runway will soon be looking to Outdoor Retailer for inspiration. There are a lot of cable knits on runway but think we can do that and so so much more. And still wear it in a mountain snowstorm or any day in NYC!
